If the problem is with loading the campaign only and everything else in your darthmod like custom battles work fine then the problem is simple most likely. Originally posted by Askalanth_The_Fearless_Hussar:I actually wrote this, the first paragraph, after reading what you had said more closely. I dont feel i can stress that enough but if you have a single thing different between your current launcher options and the launcher options you had when you first started the campaign then you will get a crash. Now to load a campaign you had before you need to remember under which settings of the darthmod launcher you had played the campaign and choose the exact same ones. Then launch a campaign and check if that works. Once you download and install darthmod again check that darthmod works as it should. ![]() ![]() With 2 or more mods you run the constant risk of the mods messing up your game files and breaking your game. Also some mods are enabled or disabled manually and so forth. Every mod description will mention that on their TWcenter page or moddb page. Another more general piece of advice is the usual: Dont have more than 1 mod installed at the same time unless you absolutely know how a mod works. Yes this takes space on your disks but this way you dont have to redownload them again and again after you need to uninstall them for any reason. You are better off keeping a copy of the zip and installation files of a mod in a separate folder on your PC. Personal advice from someone who uses lots of mods: mods tend to break. If vanilla with one or the other way works 100% fine then download and reinstall darthmod again. Then reinstall the game and make sure everything works(it should). That will make sure anomallies like misplaced files from maybe other mods are gotten rid of. If that doesnt make vanilla work then uninstall the game completely and manually navigate to the empire total war steam folder and delete it. So verify integrity of game files and check if it works again. If it doesnt then sth is wrong with that. Best advice is to just uninstall the mod and then check if your vanilla game works fully. As for campaign crashes that indicates that sth is wrong with your data or campaigns folder. I mean they are useful in general.ĭarthmod must and will move files. If the first paragraph didn't fix your problem then read the things i am saying below this. In general if campaigns and options used on your launcher are different from the ones used to launch your campaign the first time you will not be able to load your campaign and you will get a crash. A campaign launched with that option on will not be loadable with that option off. However, the Enhanced BGM Sounds are NOT interchangeable. Note though that only the change between Generic and national drum rolls are interchangeable, meaning that if you launched your campaign with say Lilibulero and then one time switched from the launcher to US drum roll you would still be able to load your campaign. ![]() Same launcher settings includes same options chose under the tabs 'campaigns' and 'options' of the darthmod launcher. Any difference whatsoever will lead to a crash. The launcher options on your darthmod launcher must be 100% the same as the ones you had when you first launched your campaign. I actually wrote this, the first paragraph, after reading what you had said more closely. I appreciate it.Originally posted by The_Fearless_Hussar: %AppData%\(local,locallow,roaming)\The Creative Assembly\Empire and then verify local files through steam. that if you already have the game loaded, to completely delete the The only true way to find out is to try it out for yourself.Įdit: i might add. there are reports here and with other sites that DM still works, there are also some reports that it does not. Especially, since I had finally picked up the games for the first time as a long time TW fan and was looking forward to playing them.Ĭan anyone confirm that Empire: Total War works at this time with Darthmod? I really have no desire to play the Vanilla game without Darthmod.
